salons, talks & symposia

threewalls hosts a variety of public programs aimed at engaging audiences in a conversations about the visual arts.

SALONS

"Historically, [discourse]... was a gesture fraught with risks before becoming goods caught up in a circuit of ownership." – Michel Foucault

The salon program is an open, topical conversation, where the public is invited to participate in a moderated conversation around current issues in contemporary art practice. SALONS invite a group of respondents to be on hand and part of the discussion, but everyone is welcome to come and be apart of the dialog. Check the calendar for upcoming discussions.

Talks

There's so much more behind an artist's body of work or practice – please join us to hear about the their influences and development at our regularly scheduled 'talks,' in conjunction with SOLO and residency exhibitions. Check the calendar for upcoming presentations.

Symposia

Each spring we host our annual symposium, a two-day event featuring a panel discussion with arts professionals and a special program in conjunction with the year's topic. The symposium is accompanied by a limited edition publication in conjunction with the program, available online or at our bookstore. Please check back for 2009 symposium details or contact Elizabeth(at)three-walls.org.
