For the 2008/09 season ThreeWalls is introducing a new resource center and bookstore at their HQ, unit 2D, in the 119 N Peoria building. Designed by artist John Preus, this mini-center will act as a distribution center for local art publications, artist books and multiples, fine art periodicals, zines and chapbooks and other visual arts ephemera. Please join us in supporting maverick publishing! Come by for a hot tea and enjoy browsing (or buying) from our selection of unique books and periodicals.

John Preus is a visual artist, designer and carpenter working independently and with the artist-collective Material Exchange.  Before moving to Chicago in 2002 to study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and pursue his MFA at the University of Chicago (2005), he co-founded Urban Woods in the Twin Cities, an ongoing project in responsive design and adaptive reuse.  Visit his websites: www.urbanwoodsproject.com and www.material-exchange.org

ThreeWalls would like to gratefully acknowledge the support of the Andy Warhol Foundation in providing support for this renovation and new program.
